East Central Ontario Fruit Producers' Network

Hello,

We are pleased to announce the launch of our new East Central Ontario Fruit Producers' Network! The intent of this group is to facilitate communication among growers across our region who are interested in trading tips, tricks, techniques, and perhaps even plant stock and materials that relate to fruit production in east central Ontario.

In order to allow for simple communication, the network will function as an open forum on Google Groups. If you are new to Google Groups, they work essesntially like a shared email inbox. Members are able to create new posts, respond to questions, add attachments, and anything you might be able to accomplish in a Gmail account (at this time, as far as we can tell, you do not need a Gmail account in order to access the group).

Some of you have already received invitations to the group, having expressed an interest at our recent Fruit Production Workshop with Ken Taylor, and there are a number of you who have already confirmed your membership in the group. Thank you! For those who have requested invitations but may not have received them, there is a possibility they have been filtered into your spam folders. Please check there for the invitation (that has come directly from Google Groups).

For those of you who were not at the Fruit Production Workshop but do have an interest in becoming a member of the Fruit Producers' Network, please send a request to Jay Adam (jadam.farmsatwork@gmail.com) and he will gladly forward you an invitation.

Once you have received your invitations, click the link in the email to confirm your membership and begin posting in the group. For ease of future use, please consider bookmarking the page so you don't have to search for the group every time you'd like to browse the forum. Alternatively, you can go to www.groups.google.com and, in the search field, search for "fruit producers". The "East Central Ontario Fruit Producers' Network" should be the first link that comes up.

Please let us know if you have any issues in accessing the group.

Cheers!
