Central Ontario Grazing Network

Laura Glover (dairy farmer) and Ann Clark (custom grazing) are starting a new Grazing Network for Central Ontario. Anyone interested in pasturing livestock on commercial and home-scales (from dairy and beef cattle to laying hens and broilers) are welcome to join.

The vision is for the network to function as a hub of communication among Central Ontario grazing farmers. There will be roughly 6 “pasture walks” a year on different farms, where members can share ideas and techniques on issues identified by host farmers. These will be informal, producer-to-producer chats led by the host farmer(s), followed by coffee and tea.

The first pasture walk is scheduled to take place (come rain, snow or shine) from 1 to 3pm., on Sunday December 16, 2012 at Glover’s Farm, located at 138 Honey Line, Warkworth, ON.

For directions, Google “138 Honey Line, Trent Hills, ON”. From the town of Hastings, drive south 6km on #25, turn left on Honey Line. 138 is on the north side of the road.

Anyone interested in attending is asked to RSVP with Laura Glover:
