Upcoming workshop: Wild Plant Pesticides

Using Weeds & Native Plants for Organic Pest Control

Farms at Work is teaming up with the fine folks over at Plan B Organic Farms (near Cambridge) to offer an innovative workshop in organic pest control methods. Taught by Dr. Fulvio Gioanetto (Doctor of Botany), the aim of the workshop is to teach farmers and market gardeners how to use weeds and native plants from their own properties to create effective and organic pesticides.

Details are still being ironed out, but the workshop will be held sometime between mid-August and early-September, at a farm in east central Ontario. We will need at least 15 participants in order for the workshop to run, so if you’re interested in attending, please contact Jay Adam for more details.
