The evening will feature presentations by Farms at Work, Ontario Farmland Trust, and Ontario Federation of Agriculture.
Presentation topics will include:

the cost of providing municipal services for farmland vs. residential land using a case study from Ontario

the value of food-producing lands, and how much land is needed to feed us

the status of farmland protection in Peterborough County
-
the use and benefits of protecting farmland with provincial policies and Farmland Easement Agreements
All are welcome to attend and join the conversation. Questions and discussion are encouraged, and there will be time to chat with presenters dring the evening.
