FindFarmland.ca for Farmland Owners

Do you own farmland that’s not currently being used—or want to support the next generation of farmers? Find Farmland is a free platform that helps connect farmland owners with aspiring and experienced farmers who are seeking access to land.

You can list your property with as much detail as you like—size, soil type, infrastructure, preferred arrangement (like rental, lease, or collaborative model), and more. There’s no cost to create an account or post a listing, and you can update or remove your post at any time.

Once your listing is live, interested farmers can contact you directly through a secure form. From there, it’s up to you to decide who’s the right fit for your land.

💬 Pro tip: Including photos of your property make a big difference! Listings with photos receive more views and connections!

Whether you’re looking to keep your land in production, preserve its agricultural value, or give back to your community—Find Farmland makes it easy to get started.

Why Should I Consider Leasing My Land?

Many farmland owners aren’t active farmers — and that’s okay. But keeping farmland in production is essential to:

  • Supporting the next generation of local farmers

  • Keeping rural economies strong and food systems resilient

  • Preventing farmland loss to development and non-agricultural uses

By leasing your land to a farmer, you’re helping maintain its agricultural purpose — while potentially benefiting from tax programs and improved land stewardship.
